Unusual Halloween costumes

If you’ve grown tired of wearing the same generic Halloween costumes, continue reading to discover a few unusual Halloween costumes, which are sure to turn heads!

Unusual Halloween costumes:

1. Duct tape mummy costume

Imagine how shocked your friends will be when they see you dressed up as a spooky Egyptian mummy. Whatever you do, don’t use rolls of toilet paper in order to create a realistic, scary mummy costume. Instead, it’s a great idea to use duct tape body wrap, in order to create a more realistic mummy costume.

2. Optimus Prime

If you’re a fan of the recent Transformer films, why not set yourself a challenge of creating an Optimus Prime costume using cardboard and some blue, red, yellow and white paint. This is a particularly great costume idea, if you have kids who love Transformers or remember watching Transformers cartoons as a kid.

3. Headless Marie Antoinette

You’ll be sure to frighten your friends if you dress up as a headless version of Marie Antoinette. To ensure that your costume is as frightening as possible, it’s a great idea to use fake blood to create the illusion that your head has been decapitated.

4. LEGO mini-figure

As LEGO is an iconic brand, that most individuals are familiar with, you can’t go wrong putting together a LEGO mini-figure Halloween costume. In order to get started, build a large oversized cardboard shirt as well as an oversized cardboard head.

The latter of which you should paint yellow. Next, use black paint, to give your head an expression such as shock, fear or happiness. Lastly complete your look by using a pair of cheap yellow gloves, to cover your natural skin tone, in order to look like an oversized LEGO mini-figure.

5. A toy soldier

Dressing up as a realistic toy soldier, may be easier than you think. Simply dress in head to toe army style gear and paint your face, neck, arms and hands with green face paint. You can even claim that you’re a toy soldier from the well loved Toy Story franchise of iconic films.

6. Green with envy

If you’re on the hunt for an innovative idea for a clever couple’s costume that won’t break the bank, it’s a great idea to create a green with envy couple’s costume. Where one individual where’s a green costume or a simple green t-shirt, while the second individual wears a t-shirt or sign with the word envy on it. While this particular idea seems simple, you’ll be sure to make your friends laugh.

7. A Sims character

Dressing up as a Sims character won’t take a long time. Simply craft a green plumbob, which is the icon which appears above each character’s head, that is being controlled in the Sims. Then attach your green plumbob to a plain headband, to give the illusion that there is a green plumbob over your head. So that you’ll look like a Sims character.

So with Halloween right around the corner, it’s well worth picking one of the creative, fun costumes  listed above.
