4 Clever Storage Ideas For Craft Enthusiasts

If you’re passionate about arts and crafts and spend much of your free time creating home made gifts for your friends and family members, it’s likely that you’re running out of places to store your craft supplies. If your craft room is getting a little cluttered and you’re having trouble locating specific craft supplies, continue reading to discover a few handy storage ideas for craft enthusiasts.

4 Clever storage ideas for craft enthusiasts:

1. Find innovative storage solutions for your scrapbooking paper

If you’re in dire need of extra scrapbook paper storage, you may be interested in purchasing sizeable plastic containers, to place your scrapbook sheets in, which you’ll be able to hide under your bed. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to store your collection of scrapbook paper in your designated arts and crafts room, it’s well worth getting custom shelves built which are deep enough to fit your scrapbooking sheets in.

As the last thing that you want to do is to have to roll or fold your pristine scrapbooking paper. As doing so will cause imperfections in your scrapbooking paper. For example, if you fold your scrapbooking paper to fit it in a small drawer, you’ll find ugly creases in your expensive scrapbooking paper.

2. Purchase a tool box to store small craft supplies

It’s well worth purchasing an inexpensive tool box, which you’ll be able to use to store small craft supplies such as embellishments, stamps, ink pads and glue. As tool boxes normally feature a wide variety of compartments, which you’ll be able to use to keep all your arts and craft supplies properly organized.

Better yet, you can lock up your tool box, when you’re moving from one room to another, to ensure that you don’t drop your craft supplies all over your floor.

3. Label any storage containers which you use to store your craft supplies

It’s definitely a mistake to throw all of your craft supplies into oversized plastic containers, without making an effort to correctly label all of the items which you’ve put in a storage container. It’s definitely well worth purchasing sticker labels, which you can stick on all of your containers. So that you’ll be able to use a pen or a vivid marker to list all of the contents of each plastic storage container.

You’ll definitely thank yourself when you’re halfway through a new craft project and need to find a specific item, that could theoretically be in any of your plastic storage containers.

Just remember to use a pen or a vivid marker in order to strike a mark through any items which you use up or remove from your plastic storage containers.

4. Repurpose a hangable plastic shoe rack to store fabric or wool

If you collect different fabrics and balls of wool to use in your craft projects, you can repurpose a hangable plastic shoe rack to store your collection or fabric and wool.

So there you have it, four innovative, clever ways to help keep your arts and craft supplies well organized. Which will make completing your craft projects even easier as you’ll be able to quickly locate all of your supplies.
