Top 5 Things to Collect

To be a collector, it requires a lot of dedication and passion. You need the willingness and patience to roll-up your sleeves and make the effort to visit numerous shopping spots, looking for that key component to make your collection fully complete. Some collectors’ items will increase in value over time, while others give back a sense of pride helping to keep all those pieces organized. With that in mind, there are four items you’ll want to keep an eye out for.

1. Pokemon Video Games

Over the years, Nintendo have released a number of titles that have been extremely popular. This includes Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald for the Game Boy Advance all veterans of multiple Game Bases. If collectors are interested in a physical copy of these titles, they need to urgently find themselves a loose cart. The only place you’ll ever see these titles in the original cartridge format is in the second-hand market.

2. Vintage Fashion Clothing

In the 1980s and 1990s, our fashion sense was rather charming! If you can get your hands on some cheap and unique clothing, you’re sure to find a lucrative investment. As soon as you bring that item into 221B’s Great British Shop you can cash it in for a superior return. Among the items which are popular are leg pads, knee pads, badges, and posters! Star Trek is always a great investment for ladies and a personal favourite of mine.

3. Comic Books

Comic books come in all shapes and sizes, with superheroes that we all grew up reading. If you’ve got tens of comics debuting, you could afford to sell them for hundreds. If you’ve got thousands, you should be thinking about becoming a dealer. Whether you’ve got Batman, Spiderman, Superman, X Men or more, you’re sure to find a ton of interest at the store.

4. Miniatures

Collecting dozens of auto miniatures could really pay off in the long run. These mini figures are one of the most recognised collectables, with hundreds often released over the years. If you’re like me and your favourite is James Bond (Daniel Craig) these are worth a fortune! They have a variety of poses, such as throwing some coloured shapes, lighting a cigar or even skiing! If this sounds like a must-have, check out eBay and the bank flicking on. Their value really is unimaginable.

5. Old Coins

We’ve come a long way from the solid silver and gold coins that used to be part of everyday life. These days they’ve been replaced with plastic cards and paper. However, your pocket change isn’t worthless completely! Oftentimes people will roll their change and not spend it sparing little thought for the value inside. While everyone thinks they’re worth a few pence, a pot can be worth a lot more. For this reason, it’s not uncommon to find ancient Greek or Roman coins with a few interests. Even the average pound coin can be worth an incredible amount of money. Unfortunately, it’s only worth as much as another collector is willing to give for it!

Verdict

Twenty-First Century is filled with such an endless supply of candidates to collect that everyone can choose that niche of their interest. Give a good shot and test out what kind of value you’ve amassed. In many cases, you might be surprised to find out that you’re sitting on a gold mine.
