I Am A Multi-Tasking Professional

By now, I'm sure you've all seen a billion blog posts about resolutions and goals and motivation to do awesome things in the New Year.  I'm completely on board with everyone's resolutions, but I have to be honest here: these resolutions and goals are going to take a tremendous amount of multi-tasking.  Which I happen to be an expert at.  Please read the following examples of my multi-tasking abilities.

I can read an entire issue of Good Housekeeping while also ignoring my husband.

I can watch daytime talk shows while eating chocolate.  And I'm not just talking about the 'easy' chocolates, like M&Ms... complicated chocolate that has caramel and nougat in it.

I can listen to my husband vacuum and watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

I can procrastinate folding laundry while simultaneously putting off doing the dishes.

I can watch Martha Stewart on the television and watch reruns of The Office on Netflix on my computer.

I can give myself hot glue burns while also accidentally sticking myself with a pin.

I can dry my nail polish at the same time as I'm taking a nap.

I can eat brownies and ice cream at the same time.

I hope none of this makes you feel inferior, that was certainly not my intent.  You have to practice multi-tasking for years to get to my level.  I want you to know that you can do this.  Keep working at it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to be awesome and terrific at the same time, which takes all my energy.

  1. LOL, I think your resolutions are the BEST I've read this year. Makes me wanna re-do my resolutions.

  2. Hey, I can multitask like you. Finally! Something I can do just as well as you. Thanks for the laugh. (I snorted, too - all while watching the news!)

  3. Hahaha! Too funny! I'm envious of your gifted talents, I need to step up my game!

  4. I'm eating a granola bar, checking out your blog AND watching Dolphin Tale with my boy all at once.....I'm incredible. :)

  5. Lol, this made me giggle and i woke up my boyfriend with it, does that count as multitasking? Maybe im gifted!

  6. Thank you for this post! You have given me an entire new opinion of myself! Now that I reflect back, I can see that I am a very busy and successful woman! I really should try to take some time off! (I think maybe we are related, did you find anything in your family tree?) LOL!

  7. Hilariously funny! I just learned what a great multi-tasker I am when I yelled to my husband to "come read this", while I sat here at the computer and finished reading what you wrote!

  8. So glad I found you. You have no idea how much I needed to laugh tonight!

I love all the comments I get from you! Because of an insane amount of spam, I had to turn off anonymous commenting but I'd love it if you'd comment anyway!
